France Visa from Bangladesh: Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a trip to France or the Schengen area? Here are the essential answers to help you navigate the application process with Fast Global Service.

1. Where do I submit my France visa application in Dhaka?

As of late 2025, the submission process has been modernized. All regular visa applications must be submitted at the new VFS Global Centre in Gulshan:

  • Address: Rangs Z Square, Level 7, 118 Gulshan Avenue, Gulshan 2, Dhaka.
  • Operating Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 08:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Note: You must complete your online application via the official France-Visas portal before booking your appointment at this center.

2. What are the current visa fees for 2026?

The Schengen visa fee is standardized across the region. As of 2026:

  • Adults: €90 (payable in BDT at the current exchange rate).
  • Children (6–12 years): €45.
  • VFS Service Fee: There is an additional service charge of approximately €22–€25 for document handling and biometrics.
  • Fast Global Service Fee: BDT 8,000 (covers expert consultation, file preparation, and appointment assistance).

3. How long does it take to get a decision?

The standard processing time is 15 working days after your documents reach the Embassy. However, during peak travel seasons (Spring and Summer), it can take up to 30–45 days. We strongly advise applying at least 2 months before your planned departure.

4. Can I visit other countries like Italy or Germany with this visa?

Yes. France is part of the Schengen zone. With a French Schengen visa, you can travel freely across all member states.

  • The Rule: France must be your primary destination (where you spend the most nights). If you are spending equal time in multiple countries, France must be your first point of entry.

5. Is a personal interview mandatory?

Typically, no. Most applications are decided based on the documents and biometrics (fingerprints/photo) submitted at VFS. However, the French Embassy reserves the right to call you for a brief interview or a phone verification if they need to clarify your travel intent.

6. Do I need to buy my flight ticket before I apply?

No. You only need a Flight Reservation (Itinerary). We recommend that you do not purchase a fully paid, non-refundable ticket until your visa is approved and in your hand.

7. What is the minimum bank balance required?

There is no “official” minimum, but you must prove you can afford the trip. A good rule of thumb is to show funds covering:

  • Your airfare and hotel costs (if not already paid).
  • A daily allowance of roughly €120 per day (approx. BDT 15,000) for the duration of your stay.
  • More than the balance, the Embassy looks for consistent income and a stable 6-month transaction history.

8. Can Fast Global Service guarantee my visa?

No agency can legally guarantee a visa—the final decision is 100% up to the Embassy of France. What we guarantee is that your application will be professionally prepared, error-free, and presented in the strongest possible way to maximize your chances of success.
