Visa Requirements
Personal Documents
- A passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the application date.
- Two passport pictures that meet ICAO standards.
- One color photograph (35 mm x 45 mm) with a light background, taken within the last six months.
- A cover letter from the applicant explaining the purpose of the visit in detail, addressed to the Embassy of France.
- Health and Travel insurance for Schengen (Original & Photocopy).
- Proof of financial means, such as a personal bank statement, credit card statements, or balance covering the last six months.
- Documents related to civil status, such as a marriage certificate, divorce certificate (“Talak Namah”), death certificate, or birth certificate.
- For self-employed individuals, a TIN certificate is required.
Professional Documents
- An employment certificate showing your name, position, hiring date, salary, and the dates of your leave authorization.
- For self-employed individuals or business owners:
- A copy of the trade license (translated into English), memorandum and articles of association, form 12 (if any), and certificate of incorporation.
- A company bank statement for the last six months.
- For students:
- Proof of enrolment in an educational institution in Bangladesh.
- A certificate of leave of absence if traveling during the school year. This certificate must include the full address, telephone number, permission of absence, and the name and function of the person granting permission.
- For school trips, a letter from the school detailing the purpose, duration, and destination of the trip.
Additional Documents
- A note verbal if you hold an official travel document.
- A copy of the roundtrip airline reservation and travel itinerary.
- Entry permits for any subsequent destinations on your trip, if applicable.
- A hotel confirmation or voucher for the entire duration of the stay, or other proof of accommodation.

For Inviter (if any)
- An original invitation letter from the company you will be visiting, which should mention the purpose and dates of the visit and clarify if the company is covering the costs of the trip.
- If visiting family or friends:
- Proof of sponsorship, which includes evidence of family ties with the sponsor.
- A letter of invitation.
